Since the inception of OISCA in South India, Training classes in fabric painting, jewellery making, hand embroidery and crochet work have been conducted for ladies and school children at OISCA Youth Center. These are all a part of our women empowerment programs. Since 2007we have been running OISCA Kalakshethra, a school to revive our languishing art, the mural painting. Classes are given in mural painting for ladies. Hundreds of women were given training in mural painting. We conduct exhibitions to help these ladies to market their products. We also had set up an Electronic Training Center for women in 2002 with the support of NABARD to train educated ladies from economically weak families. It was a five-year project and training program was given in the assembling of inverters, UPS, Electronic Chokes and so on. In addition to these, we also undertake Aids control projects of KSACS, Drinking water and sanitation projects of KRWSA, Herbal Garden Development projects of NMPB, Training programmes of Ministry of Minority Affairs for women in minority group, and Training of women artisans under AHVY project of Ministry of Textiles. We have with us 35 SHG with 700 women members.
