In 2016 With the support of State Medicinal plants board Kerala, we have implemented a project "Rehabilitation of two industrially important and endangered species ie: Saraca & Santalam". OISCA made a mass planting of Saraca Asoca at Peruvannamuzhi. Asoca saplings were planted at the filtration plant area of KWA at peruvannamuzhi as against several trees removed for the construction of the filtration plant. 1600 Asoca Saplings were planted and the significant aspect is that 80% of survived which create a mini forest fragment in that area. Now the plants are started to bloom which is a spectacular view.
